Keto Diet Staples To Keep In Your Pantry Or Home

If you’re like me, you love the keto diet because it keeps you feeling fuller for longer, has helped you shed a few unwanted pounds and gives you more energy throughout the day. But what I really love about keto is that you can eat all of the cheese and bacon your heart desires. No joke, I put cheese on everything now. If it’s not covered in cheese, I’m not interested.

Now that we’ve established how much I love cheese, let’s talk about some other things you should have in your keto diet-friendly pantry so you can make some delicious, low-carb meals that will help you stay on track.

1. Canned full-fat coconut milk:

This is my secret weapon when it comes to cooking keto meals. I add it to my coffee in the morning for an added boost of healthy fats, use it in curries or soups for extra creaminess, or blend it up with some frozen berries for a quick and easy smoothie.

2. Avocados:

A staple in any healthy diet, avocados are especially important on the keto diet because they’re packed with healthy fats that help keep you satisfied throughout the day.

I like to add them to my eggs in the morning or on top of a salad for lunch.

3. Olive oil:

Another great source of healthy fats, olive oil is perfect for cooking or dressing salads. I always make sure to have a bottle of olive oil in my pantry so I can easily add it to whatever I’m making.

4. Canned salmon:

Canned salmon is a great way to get your protein and healthy fats all in one meal. I like to add canned salmon to salad or make a quick salmon cake when I’m short on time.

5. Nuts and seeds:

Nuts and seeds are a great snack on the go or addition to any meal. They’re also packed with protein and healthy fats which makes them perfect for the keto dieter.

Some of my favorites are almonds, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds.

6. Dark chocolate:

Yes, you read that correctly – dark chocolate is actually good for you! When choosing dark chocolate, make sure to choose a brand that has at least 70% cocoa content and avoid anything that has added sugar or other unhealthy ingredients.

7. Parmesan cheese

Parmesan cheese is one of my all-time favorite keto diet staples. It’s perfect for adding to pasta dishes, salads or just eating on its own. I always make sure to have a block of Parmesan cheese in my pantry so I can add it to whatever I’m making.

8.Heavy cream

Coffee lovers rejoice – you can still enjoy your favorite morning beverage on the keto diet! Just make sure to use heavy cream instead of milk or other dairy products. Heavy cream is also great for cooking or adding to soups and sauces.

9. Bacon

Bacon makes everything better – need I say more?

10. Cauliflower

Cauliflower is a great low-carb alternative to potatoes or rice. You can buy it pre-riced or grate it yourself – either way, it’s a delicious and healthy addition to any meal.

11.: Bell peppers:

Bell peppers are a great way to add some color and flavor to your meals without adding too many carbs.. I like to add them to omelets or use them as dippers for some homemade guacamole .

  12:Spices :

Spices are a great way to add flavor to your food without adding any additional carbs or calories. Make sure to stock up on some basics like salt , pepper, garlic powder, onion powder , dried oregano and chili flakes.

 13.: Zucchini noodles :

Zucchini noodles are a great alternative to traditional pasta noodles. You can use them in place of pasta in most recipes or even eat them raw as a salad.

Conclusion:

These are just a few examples of staples that you should keep in your pantry or fridge if you’re following the keto diet.

By having these items on hand, you’ll be able to easily whip up delicious, low-carb meals that will help you stay on track.
